“You love your job, if you achieve something at it”, Vasyl Khmelnytsky
If you are constantly complaining and not trying anything, this is your choice. If you learn, take risks and put your knowledge into practice, this is also your choice. During his speech at the Summit of Sustainable Business, the founder of UFuture holding company Vasyl Khmelnytsky spoke about three types of ecosystems that allow people to develop and achieve success.
Innovative ecosystems.
These are systems like Silicon Valley: people want to get there because they have opportunities. Tere you can get experience, knowledge, an investor who will not only invest in you but will also teach and encourage your development.
“We have created a similar ecosystem in our country. It is UNIT.City. The park has coworking, accelerator, business school and all important elements of the ecosystem. We would like talented, responsible people to realize themselves in Ukraine; create teams and succeed here, not in the United States or Israel. That is why we are creating such an innovative ecosystem as UNIT.City,” Vasyl Khmelnytsky said.
Industrial ecosystems.
Production is a very important, if not the main, factor of economic growth. “If you set up a company with only 100 employees, but those 100 employees get a decent salary, then go to the store to buy goods, which later begins to grow in demand and a company begins to produce more, and the economy goes up,” – this is economic growth.
It is necessary to create platforms where anyone could produce their goods: “These are, first of all, industrial parks. In China, 30% of the economy is in industrial parks”.
Such a company provides land, communications and construction permits. “I saw parks where thousands of producers operate,” says Vasyl Khmelnytsky. China is closing now, and manufacturers are looking for new production spaces, so Ukraine can become the one.
Social ecosystem.
According to some estimates, by 2050, 80% of the world’s population will live in large cities. There is even an assumption that over time there will be no states at all, but only large cities.
Innovative and industrial ecosystems will become the basis of social ecosystems. All this together will create a foundation through which a person will be able to succeed, complete their needs, get all the necessary services and services.
However, to succeed, you need skills. Vasyl Khmelnytsky named five skills that he considers the most important in the modern world:
- Analytical thinking. There is a lot of fake information in the world now: you can buy courses for $10, where they will “teach” you Chinese in a month, or for $20 “teach” how to make a million quickly. The truth is that in today’s world, to be successful, you need to analyze which path to choose. It is necessary to understand where the truth and opportunity, and where – fake and a bad way.
- Positive thinking. News and television are full of negativity. People are afraid to start something new and mostly want to leave the country. The negative attracts the negative. “If earlier I allocated an hour for one meeting, today it is only 15 minutes. If you give an hour, the partner will talk for half an hour about problems, corruption and so on. I honestly don’t want to listen to that. But once you have 15 minutes, the person begins to speak specifically, and based on this I make decisions. If I like what he or she says, I can add time,” explains Khmelnytsky.
If you have negative thinking friends, people who complain all the time, say goodbye to them. And the truth is 90% of negative predictions do not come true.
- Do not be afraid, take risks. Business is a risk. Life is a risk. Put everything you have planned into action. If you want to start a business and do not have enough money, start buying and selling with commission – you will earn 5-10%. Even if you do not earn anything, you will gain experience.
- Learn and relearn. This is a difficult skill. I study 15% of my time: I read books, I go to seminars, I make speeches – to do that, you need to learn. I communicate with people who are stronger than me, and I constantly learn from them. This cannot be stopped. You have to learn all the time.
- Engagement and persistence. In Ukraine, 60% of people do not like their job, in the world – 50%. This is a disaster. An easy job means no career growth. Only the job that includes difficulties and drive, where you constantly overcome obstacles, allows you to move up the career ladder. You start to like it. Want to find a job you like? Any job can be to your liking if you achieve something on it.
