10 STEPS TO SUCCESSFUL COMMUNICATIONS FROM OLEKSANDRA POGORILA AND OLGA GABULYAN

Brands and communications are things that appeared long before us. People have been telling hero stories, creating narratives about the bravery and working on personal brands to succeed in their careers and lives for thousands of years, said the UFuture holding company Communications Director Oleksandra Pogorila and Communications Project Manager Olga Gabulyan during a lecture at KIEF Academy.

Today, with Internet and social media, each of us can be his or her own PR and media manager and achieve personal goals faster and easier.

10 steps to build successful communications

If you decided to start your project, your brand or your personal brend communications, here are 10 simple steps to take:

1. Identify the problem you want to solve: to find an investor, build a partnership, get to a new career level (if it is a personal brand). A communication strategy is developed for a specific goal.

2. Understand who your stakeholders are (or target audiences). By influencing them you will be able to achieve your goals faster. Then you need to create images of specific people from these target audiences. A clear message box should be formed for each of your target audiences.

"Only when you create the specific images of people from your target audiences will you understand what your content should be like, how to make it interesting and useful."

3. Choose a speaker, a person who will present the ideas. When it comes to personal brand, you will be the speaker. Remember that 55% of how your audience perceives you depends on your appearance, 38% on your voice, and only 7% on the things you say.

4. Identify your values and advantages: people buy not what you do, but WHY and HOW you do it.

5. Define your mission or great goal: trust comes when we feel that a person or organization is driven by something greater than benefit.

6. Write key messages for each target audience.

7. Choose communication channels. It is not wise today to distribute the same content in all communication channels. You need to create unique content for each.

8. Communication is not just about talking, but first and foremost about feedback. Learn to listen to your stakeholders and receive regular feedback on your project and personal communications.

9. Analyze the information field: at the very least, check out Google and YouTube search results about you and your projects.

10. Create your unique communication schedule with external newsbreaks. And most importantly – follow it. Communications must be consistent and done in time.
