Wizz Air is expanding its presence at Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport

Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport, whose majority shareholder is the holding company UFuture, has added five new aircraft and 12 new routes.

The expansion took place in cooperation with Wizz Air, the fastest-growing airline in Europe and the leading low-cost carrier in Ukraine, which offered 12 additional routes from Kyiv to Paris Beauvais, Brussels Charleroi, Eindhoven, Nice, Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Chania (Crete) and Basel-Muhlhaus-Freiburg Airport.

“Wizz Air has been our strategic partner for many years. Today's news is another proof of the strength of this relationship. We are happy together that now Ukrainians will have even more opportunities to travel from Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport. And we will continue to work to provide our passengers with the best and most comfortable service,” said Denis Kostrzhevsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport.

The new Airbus 321 will join the carrier’s fleet at the beginning of the summer season. This investment will more than double the airline’s operations at Kyiv Sikorsky International Airport and increase Wizz Air’s fleet at the airport to 8 aircraft.
