Sergiy Yevtushenko: “Ukraine has become a larger market for electric cars than Russia, Poland and Turkey combined”

Over the past five years, $4.8 billion has been invested in Ukraine’s green energy. Overall, worldwide demand for and use of renewable energy remains a steady trend. Ukraine is also demonstrating a confident start in this process, Sergiy Yevtushenko, the managing partner of the investment and development company UDP Renewables, convinced.

“Ukraine is still closely watching and preparing for the breakthrough, which I am sure we must implement soon. I can say that I am very proud that Ukraine has adopted modern legislation in the field of transport and that electric cars are widely used today. We have introduced a zero tax rate on all excise duties for 5 years, so any electric car is now conveniently imported to us. Ukraine has already become a larger market than Russia, Poland, and Turkey combined. Of course, we are far from Germany, because over 1 million electric cars are there. But this is only the beginning and a sure start,” Sergiy Yevtushenko said.
