Founder of UFuture and K.FUND Vasyl Khmelnytsky becomes UN Global Compact Ambassador

On September 1, Vasyl Khmelnytsky, a Ukrainian entrepreneur and founder of UFuture holding company and K.FUND foundation, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine and became a UN Global Compact Ambassador.

The Global Compact ensures the implementation of 10 principles of sustainable development. Vasyl Khmelnytsky will take care of the bloc directly related to the social sphere.

“Implementing and supporting global sustainable development initiatives at the local level, in Ukraine, will develop society and help each of us become more successful and responsible. As the founder of K.FUND, I have been investing for many years in the development of education, support of small businesses, in innovative ecosystems for talents in Ukraine. Today, everyone must unite their efforts in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development,” Vasyl Khmelnytsky said.

On behalf of the UN Global Compact, Chief Executive Director Tatiana Sakharuk signed the Memorandum:

“Vasyl Khmelnytsky is not only a successful entrepreneur but also an opinion leader and ideological inspirer in the field of innovation for thousands of Ukrainians. The analog of Silicon Valley, which Khmelnytsky is creating in Kyiv, testifies to his interest in the social development of our country. So I am convinced that this cooperation will be a mutually beneficial partnership over our future projects.”

Important points in the activities of Vasyl Khmelnytsky will be:

  • planning the development of the direction of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine, which relates to the social sphere;
  • expert and informational support of social programs of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine;
  • support for the annual international campaign “Partnership for Sustainable Development”, which awards the prize for the best projects in the category “Society”, etc.
