K.Fund launches UNIT Factory in Kharkiv
Kharkiv, July 18, 2019. — Vasyl Khmelnytsky’s K.Fund opens UNIT Factory in Kharkiv. It will train programmers using ucode, the program developed by the UNIT Factory team with the support of the specialists of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” who took into account the world’s best educational practices.
One of the key features of ucode is the Challenge-Based Learning methodology, aimed at solving real-life problems with the help of IT. This methodology is successfully applied in Apple Developer Academy where students not only learn how to write code, but also create ready-to-market products.
“We are pleased with the success of UNIT Factory and expand it by introducing new educational practices. For two years, we have been investing in the development of ucode, the program built on Challenge-Based Learning meeting the requirements of the modern world. We want our talented youth to have access to high-quality, up-to-date IT education and find a well-paid job here in Ukraine,” Vasyl Khmelnytsky, Founder of UFuture Investment Group, said.
There are no teachers, lectures or workbooks in UNIT Factory. It functions on the Peer-to-Peer basis, which prompts students to stay in touch and become team players. During the application process, students’ academic degrees or their grades are not taken into account. Everything depends only on the candidate’s abilities and motivation.

Graduates will have the expertise to create their own software products. They will have skills and portfolios to land a job in leading companies. The training will be intense and flexible: the process will last from 1 to 2 years depending on the student’s motivation and progress.
